Improve the quality of training for professionals in basic education in the State of Ceará; prepare and share practical experiences related to the context of educommunication and favor the development of educommunication projects, through the development of a proactive attitude and the culture of authorship, in disciplinary teaching activities. These are the main objectives of the Course and Training in Educommunication - New methodological practices in public schools, a promotion of the Educommunication Cell of the UFC Virtual Institute in alliance with the Center for Distance Education of the State of Ceará.

The course proposal was presented in an article written by Cátia Luzia Oliveira da Silva, Andrea Pinheiro Paiva Cavalcante and Francisco Herbert Lima Vasconcelos, members of the UFC Virtual Institute, located at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Pici campus, in Fortaleza. According to the authors, the course is the result of experiences in the elective subject on the subject of Educommunication, which is offered to students of the Degree in Systems and Digital Media.

Of a theoretical-practical and blended learning nature, the course allows its participants "a differentiated experience of educational communication", in addition to combining distance learning moments with face-to-face learning moments, in the latter case, especially through workshops. on topics such as digital stories, podcasts, fanzines and scientific photography. The face-to-face activities are carried out at the Distance Education Center of the city of Sobral. For distance activities, the SOLAR 2.0 learning platform is used, through which students publish multimedia material produced throughout the course.

Also, according to Cátia Silva, Andrea Pinheiro and Francisco Vasconcelos, the evaluation of the participants is done in a formative perspective, according to which the student is evaluated for their participation in each stage of the course. This implies evaluative actions through activities, interactions in online discussions, presence in face-to-face meetings and delivery of products produced in the workshops. In this sense, for the members of the UFC Virtual Institute, more than evaluating competences, this training implies that education in educommunication is "based on dialogic principles", in addition to "reflecting on specific situations, so that action-reflection allows the participant [como docente en el sistema escolar público] , to establish new practices in the daily life of his classroom ”.
