Final work presented by - Leisel Joel George
Final product made by Leisel Yoel George in Trinidad Tobago (Caribbean):
Communications Program for the Training of Antilles Specialists (CAST)
Participants received a final video project (2 to 5 minutes long) based on the theme "Living in times of pandemic",
When Leisel saw the CAST ad stating that they were "looking for a capture of multimedia champions", that they were interested in honing their skills and becoming part of their Media Resource Pool, she felt compelled to "answer the call."
The CAST course turned out to be the refresher she needed, especially when it came to videography. Leisel gained a deeper appreciation for the craft and for making the most of the resources that were available to her.
In doing so, she was able to create her final assignment during the Covid lockdown in Trinidad and Tobago and acted as a one-woman team to complete it.Her concept is about a woman who is frustrated by the pandemic situation and after a brief Period in which he gives in to his frustration, he turns to God and writes him a letter. The key message is a reminder that there is more comfort in turning to God even when you feel frustrated and helpless.
This is one of the main lessons that Leisel does her best to remind herself of and hopes her description in this video will resonate with viewers.
