CommLab 2016
Comlab was organized for African youth in 2016 and was held in Kenya, East Africa.
The program was a workshop organized for twelve (12) selected youth from different parts of Africa and lasted two weeks. Participants from Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Namibia, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Zambia were invited. The selected youth gathered background in communication or media.
The workshops were selected based on their knowledge and understanding of photography, script writing, editing, etc. to facilitate maximum participation and easy assimilation of the essence of the workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to train young Africans in social communication, especially on how to use visual content to spread the message of peace, abuse of human rights, etc.
The workshop also included how to write and develop content, photography, video, editing, and how to use the various types of editing.
