South AfricaDr. Saskia von Diest, nature communications consultant, professor and facilitator, shares her story of how she transitioned from her PhD in plant pathology to postdoctoral research in intuitive farming. With guidance from the living world around her, she created a term to describe a deeper form of knowing: Ecofluence. Perhaps it is the most critical skill we can develop as humans, the ability to sit down in dialogue and ask the Earth directly: what is needed on the planet at this moment? Because only when we ask and listen more about ourselves, do we really begin to understand what nature really needs.
