SIGNIS ALC - FELAFACS SIGNED IMPORTANT AGREEMENT
BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA MARCH 5, 2024
Rafael González Pardo (FELAFACS) and Carlos Ferraro (SIGNIS ALC), presidents of these entities, after the signing of the SIGNIS ALC - FELAFACS agreement.
Both Latin American organizations that strive for the dignity of society through social communication, share the intercultural, plurilingual and multiethnic perspective that identifies us.

FELAFACS and SIGNIS ALC team, after signing the SIGNIS ALC - FELAFACS agreement. With the pillars of working for democracy, life and good living, this agreement is managed through the following commitments:
1- Train young communication students from an edu-communicative, critical perspective aimed at the praxis of social change.
2 - Produce content for the defense and promotion of the full validity of human rights, the strengthening of democracy, regional cultural integration and the consolidation of regimes that are based on social justice and promote a culture of peace in Latin America.
3- Promote the praxis of alternative communication, from different scopes, formats, media, modes and channels, through different methodologies of communication practices, workshops, laboratories of local, national and regional scope.
4- Promote research and innovation in transformative communication, sponsored by the Edu-communication Center run by SIGNIS ALC. For this, a joint pedagogical committee will be formed between the parties, led by SIGNIS ALC.
5- Strengthen the democratic systems of the region through edu communicative practice in rights.
The academic activities of pedagogical training and communication practices will be under the general coordination of Daisy Velásquez Aponte, president of SIGNIS Colombia , accompanied by María Cianci Bastidas, academic coordinator of the RadioLío pedagogical team, representing SIGNIS ALC. Melisa Puentes will be the academic representative of the FELAFACS pedagogical team.
The dissemination, information and promotion actions will have the support of the executive secretaries of both institutions, Alfonso Andrade (SIGNIS ALC) and Santiago Humberto Gómez (FELAFACS)
We hope that this agreement broadens the horizons of the members of both organizations so that we become increasingly part of this continent of Hope.

FELAFACS is an international non-governmental organization that brings together more than 300 Faculties and/or Schools of Communication, belonging to universities in 22 Ibero-American countries and its main purpose is to contribute to the development of the teaching and professional practice of Communication, in its various areas. , in Latin America.
