Quito, Ecuador.- RadioLío will be the name that identifies the online station that SIGNIS ALC will air in the coming weeks, as part of the radio production training program in which 95 young communicators from Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador participate. , Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Paraguay, Colombia, Panama, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. The production training program for a community and citizen radio It is proposed to strengthen the educommunicative capacities of the young communicators of the Latin American online radio team of SIGNIS ALC , which seeks to contribute to transformation and social justice.

The name of the new web radio was decided at the meeting of the SIGNIS ALC Advisory Council, which brings together the presidents of the National Associates of the countries participating in the training program and the coordinators of the youth groups participating in the training course. which started in mid-April 2021 and will run until December.

At the Consultative Council meeting, which took place on Saturday, June 19, the participants chose the name RadioLío , which was one of the three finalist proposals in a selection process from among more than a dozen names that were nominated by the young students and SIGNIS associates.

The justification of the selected name highlighted the call made by Pope Francis to the young Argentines who participated in the World Youth Day in July 2013, when in the Cathedral of San Sebastián in Rio de Janeiro, he called them to Let them actively live their faith, asking them to make a mess.
