Young talent: a new hope

This issue of SIGNIS Media was planned before the pandemic that changed our lives and invaded our homes, businesses and places of worship. Faced with this unprecedented situation in contemporary history, SIGNIS is responding. In this edition and the next, we will be able to know the opinion of those who lead our membership around the world. In the next issue we will get closer to the perspective that our local partners have on COVID-19 in various countries and various circumstances. We are aware that many of us struggle with depression and feelings of despair, and that is why this issue's theme is so important: we believe that the seed of hope is found in the next generation of communicators. It is the young people who will have to commit themselves not only to a true professional work, but also, and above all, to a culture of peace. We believe in a conscientious youth attached to the encyclical Laudato Si ', where the path to a better world is found. This path is built through the option for the poor and giving a voice to those who have no voice. It is the reflections and stories of these young contributors that make up the body of our edition. Your testimony can help us trust that what we live today is not the end, and new leaders for God's people already share our path.
